The Lodge Program operates under the authority of Sheppard Pratt Health System, Inc. and is located at 4915 Aspen Hill Road in Rockville, Maryland. The school's physical facilities include classrooms, therapy rooms, a library, computer lab, all purpose room, and administrative offices. The program enrolls up to thirty (30) students in grades ninth (9) through twelve (12), ages thirteen (13) to twenty-one (21). The majority of students served are referred by local Boards of Education for a therapeutic school. The student population consists of day students who commute to school on a daily basis and live at home or local group homes.
The program operates twelve (12) months a year with approximately 217 scheduled days of instruction. The school day, which begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m., consists of a homeroom period, four morning class periods, two afternoon class periods, and a lunch period.
The program employs teachers, support counselors, a clinical director, assistant principal, and administrative assistant. Additionally a variety of full and part time clinicians are available to provide the therapies available at the school. A consulting psychologist, an educational diagnostician, a speech therapist and an occupational therapist are available as needed.
